Designing Homes That Are Lived In

Residential architecture is the most intimate form of design. The spaces we inhabit at home shape how we feel, how we rest, how we entertain, and how we move through our daily lives. Getting it right requires a level of care, listening and spatial intelligence that goes well beyond selecting finishes. Studio RDN-X begins every residential project with a detailed brief — not a template, but a genuine conversation about how you live. From this we develop a spatial strategy that resolves the fundamental questions: how should rooms connect? Where should light enter? What can be removed to make space feel larger? What needs to be built to make it feel complete? Our residential portfolio spans luxury apartment transformations, whole-house renovations, spa and wellness extensions, and Grade II listed building projects across London and beyond.

Kirk Hill — A Case Study in Residential Precision

Kirk Hill is a Grade II listed residential transformation in Nottingham, delivered by Studio RDN-X as an exercise in restraint, precision and spatial clarity. The project reimagined a private home through careful reconfiguration of existing spaces, embedded storage, bespoke architectural joinery, and a material palette chosen for its tactile quality and longevity. A swimming pool and changing suite were added at basement level. A snug, bar, and series of guest ensuites were transformed into spaces of quiet luxury. The result is a home that reveals its quality over time — not through ostentation but through the accumulated precision of every decision made during design and delivery. Kirk Hill demonstrates the Studio RDN-X residential philosophy: that the most enduring homes are those designed to be lived in, not admired.

What We Deliver

Our residential interior architecture service covers: Spatial planning and reconfiguration — improving how rooms flow and connect. Living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens — spatial strategy, architectural joinery, material specification. Bathrooms, ensuites and wellness spaces — luxury bathroom design, spa and pool architecture. Bedrooms and dressing rooms — bespoke wardrobe and joinery design. Bars and entertainment spaces — home bar, wine room, cinema and games room architecture. FF&E strategy — furniture, lighting, fixtures and finishes sourced and coordinated. Contractor procurement and site administration — managing delivery from specification to completion. We handle projects across Greater London — including North London, West London, Central London and the Home Counties — as well as projects across the UK.

Grade II Listed Residential Expertise

Listed buildings present the most demanding residential design context. The spatial logic of a heritage building often conflicts with contemporary standards of comfort and performance. Navigating this tension requires both technical knowledge of planning policy and the design intelligence to find solutions that respect a building's significance while transforming its liveability. Studio RDN-X has delivered interior architecture within Grade II listed properties, coordinating listed building consent applications, working with conservation officers, and producing technical specifications that satisfy both heritage requirements and client expectations. If your property is listed, we are one of the most capable studios in London to help you unlock its potential.
